Case study: MEC Global
MEC Global's Analytics and Insight Director needed to keep a 4,000-person global team informed and aligned. Here's how Klips made that happen.
Martin Yuill had a problem most leaders at a 4,000-person global firm would recognise: his team was drowning in information, and none of it was arriving in the right place at the right time.
Yuill is Analytics and Insight Director at MEC Global's Global Solutions department. MEC Global is an international media agency with offices in 84 countries, managing media for high-profile clients across an increasingly complex landscape. The pace, as Yuill puts it, can be manic. When information is scattered across feeds, inboxes, and sites, the cost isn't just inefficiency. It's decisions made without the full picture.
Klips changed that.
The problem: too many sources, too little clarity
The Global Solutions department had a specific mandate: keep a fast-moving, multi-disciplinary team informed, aligned, and focused. Yuill wanted to strengthen the team's digital media awareness and make sure timely communications actually reached the people who needed them.
"We wanted to be able to disseminate knowledge throughout the disciplines more effectively," says Yuill. "So we started looking for an information solution to manage the flow of communications through the team."
The challenge wasn't just finding the right information. It was making sure people would actually use the tool. "We realized that it can be difficult to get people to use a tool if it's not visually compelling."
Many of the options Yuill evaluated were rigid. They were built on a one-size-fits-all model, pushing data the team had no use for. Others looked amateurish. Neither was acceptable for a department that needed both flexibility and credibility.
Why MEC Global chose Klips
When Yuill evaluated Klips, the decision came quickly. The dashboard was visually strong, brandable, and customizable to MEC's own corporate culture. More importantly, it could be tailored by discipline and by individual user, so each team member saw what was relevant to them without being buried in noise.
There was no learning curve. No application to launch. Klips runs persistently on the desktop, which meant information was always visible without anyone having to go looking for it. That shift, from pulling information to having it surface automatically, is what made adoption straightforward.
"Our users love it. They say Klips is a really cool tool," says Yuill.
Critically, IT approved it without friction. The team evaluated Klips carefully against compatibility requirements and network impact, and cleared it without hesitation. "After the IT evaluation, Klipfolio helped us with the initial setup of the dashboards, and the rollout to 100 users went smoothly," says Yuill.
What the team gained
The Global Solutions team uses Klips to surface the information each discipline needs, without requiring anyone to check multiple sites or sift through feeds manually.
Klips includes visual and audio alerts so important announcements aren't missed, even when the dashboard isn't in focus. Users can configure it as a top bar, a sidebar, or a minimized background presence they rely on through alerts alone. The dashboard takes up minimal desktop space and fits naturally into how each person works.
RSS alerts were a particular win. Instead of checking individual feeds throughout the day, Yuill and his colleagues receive what they need automatically. "The big thing with Klips is the time saved," says Yuill. "I don't have to look at multiple sites any more."
Beyond time savings, there's a less obvious benefit: the team feels more connected. When everyone is working from the same current information, alignment stops being something you have to manufacture in a meeting. It happens as a matter of course.

Get started with KlipsThe outcome: clarity without the overhead
For a lean team operating across a complex, fast-moving environment, Klips delivered something more valuable than a dashboard. It gave people confidence that the information they were acting on was current, consistent, and relevant to their work.
No one had to build a report. No one had to explain the business from scratch to get a number. The right information arrived, automatically, in a format the team actually trusted.
That's the difference between a tool people tolerate and one they rely on.
