Tracking your Twilio communications data across calls, messages, and usage records is straightforward once you connect it to a live dashboard. Manual exports slow you down — automated reporting keeps your team aligned.

How to connect Twilio to Klipfolio

Connecting Twilio uses Basic HTTP Authentication with your Account SID and Auth Token. This is a moderate setup requiring a few configuration steps.

  1. Log in to your Twilio account and copy your Account SID and Auth Token from the Console Dashboard or Settings tab.
  2. In Klipfolio, navigate to the Service Connectors page and select Twilio from the list.
  3. Choose a pre-built data source from the left panel, or click Create a custom Twilio data source to build your own.
  4. Enter your Account SID and Auth Token, then click Next Step.
  5. On the Configure your data source page, replace any placeholder values in the Query URL — for example, replace <yourAccountSID> with your actual Account SID (no angle brackets). Do not edit the date 2010-04-01 — it is part of Twilio's base URL.
  6. If building a custom data source, adjust the Query URL further to return the data you need. Refer to the Twilio API documentation for available endpoints.
  7. Click Get data, confirm the results, and optionally select Model your data.
  8. Click Continue, name your data source, set refresh settings, and optionally share it.
  9. Click Save.
